Apparently our American friends don't have boxing day. For me, its pretty much the best part of xmas. Unless you're one of the dweebs lined up outside some big retail store at 5am, its incredibly chill. Today I started off with a turkey/bacon/egg bunwich, got out for another bridge ride, and thought I would sort through some of the photos on my shop camera. Finally got that Milwaukee bruiser fork done. I think my hand filed front tab matches the laser cut rear quite nicely:

While I wanted to have that one done for xmas, the guy its going to isn't exactly doing boozy beach rides right now, so its not super urgent.
The latest thing I've been trying to wrap my head around, is making a Surly Pugsley into an Alfine 11, Gates carbon drive sand monster. This may not be the final dropout configuration. So far simulated stress testing has looked promising, but the design is subject to change:
